Dating Factory Acquires Germany's Cross Dating

LONDON — Dating Factory, and its German counterpart, Cross Dating, today announced that they have entered into a merger agreement under which Dating Factory would acquire CrossDating.com as a part of their ongoing internationalization and expansion.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This merger creates tremendous opportunities to build on the successes that each company has achieved individually. Dating Factory is the definite leader in the white label dating market, and the combination of Dating Factory's advanced technology and our local expertise in the DACH market creates a unique white label dating service,” Lutz Obermann, founder of Cross Dating said.

He added, “This merger will provide our existing partners with access to innovative new technology, as well as multi-million global database.”

The companies said all existing Cross Dating partner's sites would be integrated into Dating Factory system by the end of the first quarter of 2013. New registrations are now available only on Dating Factory platform.

“This acquisition continues our strategy of international expansion and is a great opportunity for us to increase our footprint in the German-speaking markets. Cross Dating's long experience and excellent performance convinced us that they are the perfect match. We look forward to welcoming their partners to our network, and our team is ready to answer any questions they might have,” Tanya Fathers, CEO of Dating Factory said.

Both Cross Dating co-founders Obermann and Marcel Knass will remain with the company as country manager DACH and product manager, respectively.
